James J. Reeves, Esq.

James J. Reeves, Esq. is a longtime Pensacola real estate attorney, developer, and community leader with more than six decades of professional and civic service. A graduate of Florida State University and Stetson University College of Law, he began his legal career in 1962 and has remained actively involved in the growth and development of the Pensacola area.

Mr. Reeves served in the United States Marine Corps and later represented Northwest Florida in the Florida House of Representatives from 1966 to 1972. He also served on the Pensacola City Council from 1977 to 1983.

Throughout his career, Mr. Reeves has held leadership roles with numerous civic and professional organizations, including the Pensacola Little Theatre, Downtown Improvement Board, Gulf Breeze Rotary Club, NAIOP of Northwest Florida, Pensacola Yacht Club, PRIDE, and the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition. He also served as the original chairman of Save the Saenger Theatre and has been a longtime advocate for the preservation, revitalization, and continued development of the Pensacola community.

His decades of service have earned him numerous honors, including the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame Laureate Award, NAIOP Legacy Award, Pensacola State College Foundation Fellow recognition, Studer Community Institute EntreCon Vibrancy Award, and recognition by The Florida Bar for 50 years of membership. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow +11.
